Well, it’s been a really long time since our last Shuffle-It Sunday, and I’m really glad to have found some time to do it this week, despite having a research report to write. This was always my favorite day of the week for our blog. No reviews though, just a list. Enjoy!

Aaron Yan – 這不是我 (That’s Not Me)

While I have time, I’m going to try and plow through some more reviews! Up next is Aaron Yan’s 這不是我 (That’s Not Me), which is the closing theme song for his currently airing drama, Fall in Love With Me.

I first came to know about Fahrenheit when I borrowed the Taiwanese version of Hana Kimi from a friend back in eighth grade. Wu Chun and Jiro were the stars then, and that drama really got me into this huge Taiwanese phase. At my age now, I couldn’t bring myself to watch it again, but it was a good first watch. So, of course, I did some research and came across the other two members of Fahrenheit, along with girl group S.H.E. I liked Wu Chun the most from the group then. After I watched It Started With a Kiss, Jiro became my favorite. Now, I still look out for activities from Jiro, but it’s Aaron who currently has my attention. Even though he’s currently starring in much loved drama, Fall in Love With Me with Tia Li, who is a member of Dream Girls with Puff Kuo (who was married to SuJu’s Heechul in WGM – Global Edition and has also been costar to Aaron Yan from another drama that received much love, Just You, and is currently starring in Love Myself or You), it is Aaron’s vocals that continue to captivate me. So, let’s get on with the review!

I don’t even know where to begin with this song. The vocals, the instrumental, everything just hit the right spot with me. The tune is easy on the ears, but it is very addicting. When the song began with the piano, I was already hooked. Aaron also conveys some strong emotions through his vocals. When the chorus hit, I could FEEL the song right in my chest. Oh, boy, I don’t even know what else to say. I’m speechless, once again, when it comes to this song. It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to a Taiwanese song.

I thought the music video was odd, but again, that’s because I find the acting done in the Taiwanese entertainment circle to be a bit exaggerated. Despite that thought though, I loved the concept very much, although it was creepy.

Overall score; 9. I love this song and I have it on my favorite playlist on my iPod, so you know this song is on repeat quite a bit. There was a song in the drama that I love even more than this one, also sung by Aaron, but they have yet to release a music video for it, if they’re going to release one at all. It’s called Unwanted Love, and you should all go listen to it as well.
